Our main hero – Pinocchio – had an USB with the signatures round his neck. The receivers were surprised by the fact, that the long-nosed guest also had a lump of coal hidden behind his back, his hands tied up with a black ribbon symbolising addiction to this harmful resource. We trust that Pinocchio will be delivered to the addressee of the petitions. We also hope that, like the Pinocchio who had been turned into real boy, Mr Kulczyk will fulfil his promises: free himself from coal and commit his business potential in realisation of projects that will contribute to the protection of our planet.

We would like to say a big thank you to all who supported our campaign and signed the petitions. Your inspiring comments shows how many of us care for building a better world, where energy development does not take place at the cost of people and the environment. Keep supporting our campaign!

Below we cite the appeal to Mr Jan Kulczyk presented during the petitions’ delivery:

On behalf of the international community we would like to hand over to the Chairman of the Elektrownia Północ company the petitions signed by more than 8000 people, who asked Mr Jan Kulczyk to withdraw from building Elektrownia Północ Power Plant and to intensify his support of renewable sources energy.

The condition of our planet demands immediate, definite steps for climate and biodiversity protection. As the modern society of XXI century we can afford caring for the future of Earth, us and future generations by investing in technologies, which ensure energy security but do not devastate the environment.

Mr Kulczyk has many times declared that his goal is to eliminate global environmental risks. We hope that this little gift in the form of the lovely Pinocchio will remind Mr. Kulczyk how important keeping one’s word is.
